With all the delicious apples this time of year you are going to need this dip hangin’ around in the fridge.
It’s super easy to make and oh so tasty!
The kids will love it!
the adults will love it!
your neighbors will love it {if you share, that is}
You can even add a spoonful to your cup of hot apple cider and there you go….
your own version of some fancy drink they sell at Starbucks, but it costs a whole lot less.
1 bag of caramel bits or caramel squares {unwrapped} 11-14oz.
1 can sweetened condensed milk {fat free works just great}
Combine the caramel bits and milk in a microwave proof bowl or measuring cup and heat a little at a time in the microwave. I start with 1 minute and then 30 second intervals, stirring between each time. You want to just melt the caramel bits. It took me about 2 minutes total, but if you use the caramel squares it might take a little longer.
When it’s cool, store in the fridge for up to 2 weeks {if it even lasts that long :)}.
It fits perfectly into a little pint mason jar perfect for giving as a gift. It must be pretty great, I used perfect twice in one sentence. just sayin’
Here’s a tag you can right click and save to your computer if you’d like.
I printed it on white cardstock and cut it out freehand. You might need to reduce the size depending on what you want.
Enjoy!

ReplyDeleteThanks for all the comment love!!
ReplyDeleteCarla~ I left mine on the counter for the first day and it was just fine, but I do keep it in the fridge now. It's not "preserved" so it should be put in the fridge when possible. Hope that helps!
I plan on making crepes this weekend. I am going to fill them with my homemade chunky applesauce, top with fresh whipped cream and this caramel sauce. I have a feeling it will be a winner!
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing! You are a Superstar this week!

This looks amazing. I tried making homemade maple caramel sauce last week and totally bombed, hahah. My sugar didn't properly dissolve, I cooked it too long, it turned out to be this pseudo-maple-ish too-hard, grainy concoction that is currently sitting in my fridge, probably to be forgotten until next Spring hahah.
ReplyDeleteNeedless to say THIS recipe sounds a bit more foolproof!!
I made this today and it is so yummy! I plan to make it for my kiddos teachers for a Halloween treat! Thanks so much for sharing!
ReplyDeleteChristy

ReplyDeleteTHANK YOU! Easy and fabulous! Great for a hostess gift too!
ReplyDeleteThe dip really looks so delish! I love this so much. I have been making this since you posted it.
